If things keeps going the way they have, I’m going to start calling the Tampa Bay Lightning the Colorado Avalanche East, as they’ve now added Chris Durno to their list of Colorado acquisitions. He joins Brett Clark and former Philadelphia Flyer Simon Gagné.

The Chicago Blackhawks stormed through the 2009-10 NHL postseason, taking no prisoners and rightly proclaiming Lord Stanley’s Cup as their trophy. Then they went out and had to clean house, losing nearly half of the team that got them the championship. Nobody can blame the ‘Hawks for essentially buying themselves a cup. They did what they needed to have a team that could compete.

I know it has been somewhat quiet here on the news front and I attribute most of that to the fact that there has been hardly any important happenings as of late.
