Postseason To Start Like Regular Season

This year’s postseason, playoff hockey is sure to be a great battle for Lord Stanley’s cup. You have the Washington Capitals dominating the East, and the San Jose Sharks atop of the West. Predictions from the “experts” are pouring in left and right and suddenly it feels like we’re back at the beginning of this year’s season – with everyone ragging on the Colorado Avalanche.

It was a gorgeous day in Denver today and throughout the day the Avalanche fans were both anticipating and dreading tonight’s game against the San Jose Sharks. Not only are the Sharks one of the high scoring teams in the west, they’re also in 2nd place in the league. After a bad loss against the Calgary Flames on April 2nd, the Avs needed win to gain some ground on the coveted 8th place spot in the Western Conference Standings.

Sharks Douse Avalanche Hot Streak

The Colorado Avalanche were enjoying the weather in San Jose today as they faced the Sharks. The teams seemed evenly matched, though the Sharks outshot the Avs 12 to 5 in the first period.
