Seems I put my Foote in my mouth the other night by saying we’d see our badass Captain’s return “barring any strange injury from sleeping on it funny.” While I doubt it really came down to that, it is interesting to see that even after talking about it himself, Adam Foote’s return has dissipated.
The Colorado Avalanche placed forward T.J. Hensick on waivers today. If he isn’t picked up tomorrow, he’ll return to the Erie Monsters. This is a bit of sad news for Hensick as it no doubt signifies that there isn’t a place for him on this team.
Peter Budaj will get his second start of the season in net tonight against the Edmonton Oilers. Let’s hope this showing is much better than the last showing of his (4 goals in 1 period) against the Oil.
Peter Budaj led the Colorado Avalanche past the suprisingly hot Phoenix Coyotes, 4-1 last night at the Pepsi Center. Facing 29 shots and stopping 28, Boods managed an excellent effort against a team that is blowing as many minds with their season start as the Avs are.
