Angelique from Colorado Avalanche Prospects just tweeted that the Avs have reassigned Chris Durno, choosing to replace him with Justin Mercier. She’s pretty on top of these things so I trust it.

Colorado Avalanche goaltender Craig Anderson is day to day after being on the receiving end of a Keith Ballard hit. Ballard drove the net in the third period of last night’s shootout loss against Florida, wiping out into Andy, and injuring the goalie’s neck.
Brian Willsie Returns

Due to a torn ACL on power forward David Jones, Brian Willsie has been recalled by the Avalanche to fill the gap. Willsie was one of the last cuts made during the preseason and has been playing fairly well in the minor

Seems I put my Foote in my mouth the other night by saying we’d see our badass Captain’s return “barring any strange injury from sleeping on it funny.” While I doubt it really came down to that, it is interesting to see that even after talking about it himself, Adam Foote’s return has dissipated.
Avs Drop Coyotes 4-1

Peter Budaj led the Colorado Avalanche past the suprisingly hot Phoenix Coyotes, 4-1 last night at the Pepsi Center. Facing 29 shots and stopping 28, Boods managed an excellent effort against a team that is blowing as many minds with their season start as the Avs are.
