Ruslan Salei Injured Again *Updated*

Ruslan Salei

This just doesn’t seem to be the season for Ruslan Salei. He played a single game to start the season and injured his back, missing the majority of the the games and only managing to play in one before the Olympics. While in Vancouver Salei captained Team Belarus, who unfortunately drop all four of their games before returning home. He then returned to the Avalanche to play in 4 more games, and that may be it for the season.

Colorado Avalanche forward Matt Hendricks will probably be out tomorrow night against the nasty Nashville Predators as an unknown ankle injury kept him away from practice today. Wilson hits Moreau

Colorado Avalanche rookie defenseman Ryan Wilson left last night’s blowout of the lowly Edmonton Oilers after a questionable hit by Oiler Jean-Francois Jacques. What appeared to be a head injury has yet to be confirmed by any source close to the team or otherwise.

Hejduk Has Knee Surgery

Milan Hejduk Handles the Puck

A quick hit today on the Colorado Avalanche website breaks some bad news for Avs fans. Colorado Avalanche forward Milan Hejduk has undergone an arthroscopic procedure on his troubled knee and is expected to miss 2-4 weeks.

Yeah yeah, obviously Hejduk is alive and for those of you who didn’t get the joke, get out and read more. Anyway, Adrian Dater, some would argue my primary source for news (not true I swear!), is reporting that Milan Hejduk practiced with the team in Florida and could possibly return tomorrow against the Florida Panthers.
