Last night seemed like one of those games that was too good to be true. The Vancouver Cancucks had repeatedly stomped our Colorado Avalanche and it was time for some payback. Despite what people seem to think, this team is fighting for a playoff spot, and the window for making the post season is rapidly diminishing with each loss. Yet what happened last night was nothing short of soul crushing for this team.

Avalanche Make Mason Smash!

What a game by the Avalanche! We saw seven goals by four different Avalanche and hats fell to the ice for fan favorite Chris Stewart. Wings Scoot Past Avs 3-2

Welcome back! How was everyone’s Olympic break? We at the Burgundy Blog tried to keep busy with some Olympic coverage and trade speculations, as well as stressing ourselves out over that Gold Medal game between Canada and USA. The Avalanche, on the other hand, all spent their time doing things to take it easy. In all honesty, they deserved the break. Especially net minder Craig Anderson.
