Avalanche Make Mason Smash!

Chris Stewart

What a game by the Avalanche! We saw seven goals by four different Avalanche and hats fell to the ice for fan favorite Chris Stewart. Though the steam seemed to run out in the 3rd period, the Avs held on long enough to win the game with a four goal lead to stop the St. Louis Blues winning streak at five.

Are You Kidding Me?

I don’t think any of us saw that coming. In typical ironic fashion, the Avalanche fell to the Coyotes off a shot from Wojtek Wolski, a guy who’s had a problem shooting the puck and before this game had two goals in the last twenty-five. One of those was a mercy goal empty netter given by Chris Stewart. It was a little strange to see, honestly.

Kings Blank Avs 3-0

The Avalanche pulled a win last night against the Coyotes out of their collective rear ends. It seems that Lady Luck didn’t bless the Boys tonight in Los Angeles against the Kings. With Adam Foote and Kyle Cumiskey out of commission, John Michael Liles and Ruslan Salei were in the lineup. I thought Salei did a pretty good job, but I found myself face-palming over Liles.

Coyotes Have Trouble Catching Roadrunner Duchene

There were no ACME product mishaps in the game tonight at the Pepsi Center. The Phoenix Coyotes showed up in Denver knowing that the Avalanche would give them trouble, but I don’t think they expected as much trouble as they got tonight. By the time the final horn sounded, Phoenix would leave The Can defeated.

Avs Drop Coyotes 4-1

Avs vs. Coyotes

Peter Budaj led the Colorado Avalanche past the suprisingly hot Phoenix Coyotes, 4-1 last night at the Pepsi Center. Facing 29 shots and stopping 28, Boods managed an excellent effort against a team that is blowing as many minds with their season start as the Avs are.

Adrian Dater, our trusty source at the Denver Post, is reporting that not only will Boods get the nod against the overachieving, underselling Phoenix Coyotes, but that winger Cody McLeod will make his triumphant return as well.
