Dan Winnik, come on down. You’re the newest member of the Colorado Avalanche. That’s right, in a move reminiscent of the old days, the Avs have forfeited a future (4th round, 2011) draft pick to our favorite Phoenix Coyotes in return for 25-year-old left winger Daniel Winnik.

Adam Foote to Play Another Year

Adrian Dater at the Denver Post is reporting that Colorado Avalanche Captain Adam Foote has agreed to a one-year deal with the Avalanche. This likely means that Footer will captain a final season with the Avs, much like Joe Sakic did previously.
