So in case you’ve been living under a rock, don’t pay attention to everything related to the Avalanche, or aren’t as obsessed with social media as I am, I’m going to fill you in. Basically this guy, John T. Meyer, has always wanted to get into hockey, but has never had a team to root for. Since he finds himself strangely drawn to all things social media, weird me too!, he has decided to make it a competition of sorts. Meaning he is basically auctioning off his fandom, and now all of the social and traditional media gravity he’s garnering, to the team supported the most by its fans.

What this means to you: If you, trusty Avalanche fan, feel that this man is worthy of joining the long and prestigious heritage that surrounds our most beloved team, you must work in conjunction with the other Av Lovers out there to bring him into our warm and welcoming bosom.
