Adrian Dater, our trusty source at the Denver Post, is reporting that not only will Boods get the nod against the overachieving, underselling Phoenix Coyotes, but that winger Cody McLeod will make his triumphant return as well.
The return of McLeod is great news as the team has obviously been missing his depth and antagonistic abilities as of late. Let’s hope this gives the offense enough spark to produce some goals.
Peter Budaj hasn’t had the chance to prove himself yet this season and I don’t see any real reason to rag on him yet. I’m glad Andy has a chance to relax and re-align himself. Phoenix is hot right now so this is a good indication of what Boods can do for us this year.
** On a side note, Darcy Tuckerhas also returned to practice. Barring any strange side effects, he should be on his way to a healthy recovery. No matter what happened last year, Darcy Tucker seems to be proving himself this go around. He claimed he had a rough, uncharacteristic season before and his production has skyrocketed since. I hate to say this, but our offense needs him back.
How do you feel about Boods in net vs. the Coyotes? Do you think the return of McLeod will spur some offense? How do you feel about Tucker this year?
