Though I’m not too surprised, the Colorado Avalanche have sent T.J. Hensik to St. Louis for prospect Julian Talbot. The newcomer notched 32 points last season (17g/15a) for the Peoria Rivermen, the Blues AHL affiliate.

Guest Blog: Eurolanche Invasion 3
Part 3 concludes our Guest Blog series with David Puchovsky, founder of Eurolanche.com, a European Colorado Avalanche fanclub. This last segment involves a Q & A with David as well as his account of Invasion 3 (this year’s annual trip to see some home games).
What’s a Guy Gotta Do?
It’s only two games into the first round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs. We’ve seen upsets from both Conferences and we’ve seen teams come back to tie the series. Last night we saw the Colorado Avalanche fall in overtime to the San Jose Sharks to tie the series at one apiece. The officiating for both games has seemed to swing in San Jose’s favor and the Avalanche have to work twice as hard to win.

Guest Blog: Eurolanche

Periodically, we at the Burgundy Blog will be running guest columns as a part of our blogger community relations. This allows our readers to get a perspective outside of our own (if you don’t read any others) and provides an opportunity for others to be heard. Part one of our guest series will feature some articles by our friends from across the pond at Eurolanche – a European fanclub for the Colorado Avalanche.
You may have seen some of them on television recently as they try to make at least one trip a year over to the U.S. to catch some Avs action. Below is a brief introduction to the Eurolanche.
What Are the Odds?

Olympic Recap – Gold

As far as I’m concerned, this game basically determines the outcome of the entire 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver. I know there is ice dancing, bobsledding, nordic skiing, terrible Team USA curling, and even downhill skiing. But to me, this is all that matters. And in an event mirroring that of the Women’s Tournament, it all came down to USA vs. Canada – the rematch.
